As I look at the calendar this morning I can’t believe it’s the middle of October already! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written, so in case you’ve been wondering what happened to me I thought I’d share a little bit about my recent LEARNING CURVE.
Let me start out by saying that I LOVE TO LEARN. I always have. Yep, I was the nerd in college that didn’t skip any classes because I didn’t want to miss anything. I’m still the one who takes copious notes in continuing education classes and reads the latest books in my field just because I WANT TO KNOW.
And odd as that seems to some people it’s one of the things I really like about myself. I realize that one of my gifts is to take complex concepts and make them practical and usable for others – and I LOVE to do that too.
So you can imagine that when amazing learning opportunities graciously cross my path I just have to take them! That’s what’s been happening lately – one after the other. So much so that as much as I love learning I admit that the LEARNING CURVE HAS FELT PRETTY STEEP. Some days the level of mental energy required has been challenging when combined with daily living.
Today, I want to SHARE A GREAT REMINDER that I’ve had along the way: THE GREATEST OPPORTUNITY IN ANY EDUCATION IS TO LEARN ABOUT OURSELVES.
After all, that’s what this whole journey is about, right?
More than that, I’ve realized that the STEEPER THE LEARNING CURVE THE GREATER THE OPPORTUNITY. So suffice it to say that in the recent weeks I’ve uncovered some revealing insights about myself beyond the fabulous information I’ve ingested. Not all of them are shiny or comfortable, but they are priceless as a road map for future growth.
Which is cool because that’s what really turns me on: PERSONAL GROWTH, INTERNAL WORK, INTEGRATION, RESOLUTION, ACTUALIZATION. By whatever name, it’s the process of becoming more of the Divine essence within us.
So it turns out that that learning something new is good for our brain and the process of learning something new is good for our spirit. That steep hill might be worth climbing after all.
Enjoy the journey,
Pam
